How to display Onboard – Unity Screen Keyboard on Ubuntu

Sometimes we need virtual keyboard (on Screen Keyboard) in case when some of the keyboard keys are broken. For those of you who use a PC, it may be easy if the keyboard keys are broken, just change the keyboard with a fairly low cost only about $2 upto $10 only. but for Laptop Users, replacing keyboard will need more expensive cost. Virtual keyboard is one alternative to replace a broken laptop keyboard keys.

To bring up the virtual keyboard, click Dash Home icon or by pressed windows button on the keyboard (on Linux known as super button). so that the installed application search menu appears. Type onboard as shown below:

click on the app to bring up the onboard virtual keyboard, or onboard settings for configuration.

    Why not just just suggest that they use a USB connected keyboard? I personally have been using 1 or another USB connected external keyboard with a laptop since 2010. And they do offer keyboards that will fit in a laptop carry case along with the laptop.
